We are seeking a dedicated Business Developer to join our team and help us continue expanding our market presence.

Position Overview

As a Business Developer, you will play a critical role in identifying new business opportunities across roofing, solar, and HVAC markets. You'll engage potential clients through networking, market research, and follow-up on business leads, helping us expand our reach and maintain our reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and research potential clients across all ARI business sectors (roofing, solar, HVAC).
  • Gather project qualification information from clients and manage client accounts.
  • Maintain accurate and updated client information within CRM systems, ensuring key sales data is properly tracked.
  • Seek business expansion opportunities and cross-sell services across divisions.
  • Build and nurture relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and identifying future sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to stay informed on trends, products, and pricing strategies.
  • Provide regular updates on sales initiatives and progress to stakeholders.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3+ years in sales, marketing, or business development.
  • Previous experience in roofing or construction sales preferred.
  • B2B outbound sales and prospecting experience required.
  • Proven experience in managing customer accounts and cultivating long-term relationships.
Skills:
  • Strong selling, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Effective networking skills with a strong ability to influence and close deals.
  • Self-motivated with a high work ethic.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
  • Valid and insurable driver's license required.
Working Conditions:
  • Must adhere to all OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Must be able to work in a dog-friendly office environment.
  • Random drug and alcohol testing as required.

Success Factors & Performance Metrics:
  • Generate 10 new client leads per month.
  • Follow up on all new leads the same day and log opportunities into the CRM system.
  • Attend at least 12 networking events annually.
  • Respond to client emails and issues within 24 hours.
  • Maintain membership in two local networking groups.
  • Attend four product training sessions annually.
  • Ensure all proposals and estimates meet customer needs and include all necessary details.
  • Achieve cross-selling goals across roofing, solar, and HVAC services.
