Gastroenterologist Locums Job in South Carolina Premium Rates Details/Requirements for Assignment : - Must be Board Certified - Must hold active South Carolina license - ERCP is required - Coverage need 5-12 days a month, can only offer gaps in coverage - 24 hour call coverage. Two hospitals 6 miles apart - on site could be 12 hours a day. - 12 hour in-house GI hospitalist support with 12 hours of night off site call - Hospital support includes PAs, RNs. Practice support CMAs and PA. - Bread and Butter - Daily patient volume 27 - Typical day: TMC - Scopes in the morning, they generally start them at 8:00am, but call does start at 7am. Then rounding (patient care) and see any consults that are called in. Then to SMC for the same thing. SMC generally doesn t have as many scopes, and not as many patients to round on.
