The Role

AXS is seeking a detail-oriented and creative Sr. Business Development Manager to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. This role will provide support to the Sales team. This candidates will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and negotiating new business development and marketing growth opportunities across various live entertainment verticals with a focus on music venues, promoters, and festivals. Identify and develop optimal revenue models, sales/distribution channels, pricing, and new product development strategies. Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships, including financial arrangements, and helps execute pitch decks and meetings. Prioritizes and tracks investments across new product development initiatives. Manages and integrates new business ideas and/or acquisitions.

What Will You Do?
  • Responsible for building and growth of pipeline of clients within the music vertical including, but not limited to, theaters, clubs, festivals, and casinos
  • Build vertical-focused growth strategies and opportunities through lead generation and relationship building
  • Handle financial proposals and contract negotiations for new partners and renewal agreements
  • Help reach in achieving revenue growth targets
  • Handle CRM administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows and other routine tasks
  • Represent AXS at industry events and tradeshows and help facilitate meetings and events with external partners and prospects
  • Support the Business Development leadership team with ad-hoc tasks as needed
  • Become a champion for the data that lives within our CRM - ensuring that our sales team is entering information correctly, updating as needed, and that our handoff to CS is accurate
  • Cultivate relationships with potential partners and help to secure and coordinate meetings
  • Evolve company sales tools, presentations, and contracts for the marketplace
  • Messaging, positioning, and content creation that articulates our unique value and benefits across products, services, verticals


What Will You Bring?
  • High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS Degree Preferred)
  • 4-6 years' experience in Business Development and ticketing or live entertainment
  • Strong experience with identifying opportunities, developing strategies, and negotiating creative solutions
  • Proven understanding of a sales cycle/understanding a sales organization and its needs
  • Passionate about the live event industry, whether it be music festivals, themed attractions, sporting events, artist tours, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with various teams & various levels of an organization
  • Proactive problem solver, self-starter, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is a team player
  • Creative, analytical, adaptable, flexible, eager to learn
  • Highly organized and willing to step up when duty calls. Nothing's beneath you
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of business software tools and marketing/design technology: Slack, G-Suite, Notion, Figma, CRM (Salesforce and HubSpot)


Pay Scale: $80,851 - $117,908
