About The Role

As a Cloud Engineer you'll be tasked with building scalable infrastructure in one of the major cloud platforms for our projects. Working within the software development team, your duties will require you to assist in the development and delivery of consumer and enterprise applications. This role is ideal for ambitious engineers who feel confident in their technical ability and want to be a part of the highly-skilled development team at Konrad.

What You'll Do
  • Design, provision, and manage infrastructure on cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Develop and maintain scripts for automated monitoring, scaling, and backups.
  • Implement and manage security policies for cloud infrastructure, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and firewall management.
  • Research new technology and tools and share those findings with the team.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with all members of our team.

Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role, utilizing AWS and/or Azure
  • Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines and managing automated deployments
  • Experience in one or more infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, ARM, Ansible, Chef, Pulumi
  • Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
  • Deep understanding of each of the parts that make up a modern web application (APIs, templating, routing, data storage, design patterns, optimization, caching, security)
  • Fundamental knowledge of core web principals (HTTP, the DOM, SSL, web servers)
  • Great interpersonal skills - we work very closely together as a team and require a lot of communication.
  • A proactive personality, and a desire to deliver your best work.
  • A love for improving software development workflows and processes.

Nice to have
  • Experience building and scaling distributed cloud systems
  • Relevant certifications in Azure or AWS
  • Experience working with React, Java, or Node.js
  • Experience working with GraphQL, ElasticSearch, Serverless, or Next.js
