The Health and Civil Sector Office of Technology at Leidos currently has an opening for a Performance and Readiness Division Solution Architect to lead growth opportunities in our Health Solutions Business. This is an exciting opportunity to use industry experience to deliver innovative solutions that help our customers transform and modernize their Federal Health missions. The qualified candidate will function as the technical and strategic lead, working with a broader cross-functional team to generate requirements through ongoing customer interactions, and then develop and assist in delivering solutions based on our customers current and future needs in the Federal Health market.
In addition, the Solution Architect will work as an interface between programs, customers and Leidos senior management, ensuring Leidos management understanding of customer domain, pain points, and strategy to drive business development and technology insertion initiatives, in order to ensure success of high-value capture and on-contract growth opportunities.

- Conduct market research and product comparisons for Federal health processes and tools, tracking industry trends and assessing technologies for fit within customer tool sets.
- Contribute to customer engagements; analyzing customer needs and align them with industry trends and Leidos solution offerings.
- Participate in opportunity shaping efforts to drive internal and external customer understanding of technical discriminators and assist in injecting Leidos technology differentiators into customer operations.
- Partner with Business Development staff to understand and participate in the development of new business strategy assessing current and future skills and technology needs.
- Organizes project and task work-loads and selects individuals most qualified for assignments on specific projects.
- Develop solutions that are highly innovative and achieved through research and integration of best practices.
- Participate in the identification of new technologies and support investment projects focused on using those technologies to develop repeatable solutions that increase Leidos differentiation. Determine relevancy and customer impact of new healthcare focused technologies.
- Support customer and stakeholder meetings and technical discussions.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the translation of solution requirements into design documentation.
- Provide direction on a variety of design decisions including solution evaluation and selection, buy vs. build vs. reuse questions, early-phase project estimates, platform selection, and technical design.
- Lead and write technical proposals, whitepapers and develop other collaterals in support of technical solutions.
- Provide responses to request for information (RFI) and government market surveys or sources sought notice.
- Provide basis of estimates (BOEs) for technical solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 12-15 years prior experience or a master's degree in a technical discipline with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experienced professional in contract performance with demonstrated technical lead and customer relationship building in the performance and growth of contracts. Capable of generating on-contract-growth through insertion of innovation and technology on existing programs.
- Experienced solution architect, sales engineer, and/or technical volume lead on captures and proposals.
- Requires US Citizenship.
- Proven ability to reach out to Industry, Academia, and government customers synchronizing efforts across multiple lines of research, development and funding to enhance our solutions offerings and close gaps in offerings yielding competitive technical solutions.
- Experience in health system definition, design, integration and delivery is a plus.
- Knowledgeable in program management methodology and techniques; performance evaluation and change management principles.
- Demonstrated ability in the areas of personnel planning, project reviews, scheduling, and budget control.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas.
- Experience with regulatory and healthcare data handling and analysis in the Federal Health domain (e.g. DoD, DHA, VA & etc.).
- Experience in design and implementation of big data stores.
- Experience with writing content for white papers, RFI responses, proposals and customer briefings.
- Experience developing and reviewing BOM and BOEs for complex solutions.
- Experience with reviewing proposal contents including draft reviews, red team reviews, risk reviews, etc.
- Implementation experience with one or more of the following: AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps in a cloud environment.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Operational experience in the Federal Health domain.
- Previous experience managing complex solution development efforts / contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to work across internal functions and with outside entities to facilitate successful product completion/delivery.
- Experience implementing solutions using Salesforce, ServiceNow, Pega, Appian and Microsoft Power platform.
- Experience with Data Analytics and modern data platforms.
- Experience using modern digital engineering practices to include MBSE knowledge on development or integration programs.
