We are currently seeking a State Medicaid- Project Manager to join our team in Little Rock, Arkansas (US-AR), United States (US).
The successful candidate will work as part of a team providing Business Operations Support (BOS) for a state Medicaid Program. Working under the direction of the team manager, they will proactively manage and support management of multiple enhancement projects. They will actively participate in the delivery of tasks/activities and associated deliverables. In collaboration with other NTT DATA consultants, the selected candidate will work directly with state business staff and vendors to support the management, coordination, analysis, planning, design, UAT, implementation and evaluation of key system changes, projects, and processes to help the client achieve organizational goals.
Job Responsibilities Include:
• Adhering to Project Management Institute industry practices to manage one or more projects while also serving as a backup project manager to one or more projects
• Review project artifacts/deliverables throughout the system development life cycle for quality, compliance, and completeness, document observations and findings using project team processes and standards
• Interface with state business users and vendors
• Analyze technical, business and user needs, developing requirements documentation
• Identify and report project issues and risks
• Research and provide recommendations to the client on business problems/decisions
• Collaborate with team members to provide subject matter expertise and assistance
• Ensure project identified processes and methodologies are executed and followed
• Develop and execute test cases
• Develop and present formal presentations to business leaders, vendors, and team members, making applicable recommendations
• Participate and/or lead in the creation of presentations and other materials for end user training
• Create written and present verbally executive level status reporting
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 8 years of experience supporting or developing Health Care systems
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting health IT system implementation projects and/or Medicaid business operations
• Minimum 5 years of experience with elicitation and verification of business and technical requirements
• Minimum 3 year of experience with system development methodology and project management principles
• Minimum 3 years of experience conducting reviews of system development life cycle documentation, project and technical architecture and design deliverables/artifacts
• Undergraduate degree or 4 years additional relevant experience
Preferred Skills:
• Experience managing or coordinating more than one major project at a time
• Project Management education, certificate, or certification or agreement to obtain Project Management Professional certification within 6 months of hire
• Experience translating Federal and State regulations into working requirements that are actionable by technical teams
• Experience working with Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) vendors
• Ability to translate between non-technical business users and technical IT resources
