Arizona Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Center - Peoria is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6-12 month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable to train with us and transition into an ER position on our team!
Come and be part of a 16,000 square foot state-of-the-art hospital at Arizona Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Center located in beautiful Peoria, AZ. Our Emergency & Critical Care hospital offers three sister sites and serves the fast-growing Peoria, Glendale, Goodyear, and Buckeye areas of Northwest Phoenix.

Our DVM team is supported in person or on-call by a team of board-certified critical care specialists available 24/7/365 days a year.
At Peoria you will have access to in house access to board certified surgeons, radiologists, and internal medicine specialists.
Continued learning at all levels is our passion. Intern lecture series and resident rounds are held every week with remote access. Cage-side rounds are in-depth and focus on definitive and total patient care.

Our team will consist of a large number of partnering technicians, technician assistants, and doctor assistants. We put a high focus on our technical staff CVT/VTS training programs and employee retention. We pride ourselves in providing you with a well-staffed, highly skilled technical support team. In addition, you will be afforded consistent availability of specialty services and consultation in critical care, surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, dentistry, and radiology.

• Staffed full diagnostic laboratory with telecytology capabilities for rapid turnaround
• CT
• Mechanical Ventilation
The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program
The ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.
The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.
Program Duration/Commitment
• 6-12 month training program beginning anytime between February and June 2025
• 1-2-year commitment as an ER clinician at AVECC Peoria following training
