Tapestry 360 Health (Tap 360), formerly known as Heartland Health Centers, is a federally qualified health center with 16 locations serving Chicago's north side and nearby suburbs. We provide over 28,000 patients with a medical home where we offer affordable and comprehensive primary care, oral health care, and behavioral health care services.

We are seeking a director for our Health Information Technology (HIT) department. This is a senior level position which oversees the management and maintenance of Tap 360 patient health information. They are responsible for patients' health information's accuracy, completeness, and security. They are also responsible for overall department management, including supervising the staff, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Digital Strategy
    1. Assesses legacy systems for quality and return on investment
    2. Creates product roadmaps and digital roadmaps
    3. Manages IT related contracts
    4. Leads enterprise digital transformation projects for patient- and provider-facing applications
    5. Prioritizes projects to align with business strategy
  • Process Improvement
    1. Directs improvement projects for contact center and internal IT teams
    2. Works with internal and external stakeholders to identify and prioritize digital transformation projects
  • IT and HIT vendor management
  • Reports to this position:

    2. EMR Transition- Operational Lead

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Management, or related field required.
  • Master's degree in related field highly preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience highly desired and preferred.
  • Quality improvement, process improvement and or project management experience highly preferred.

Competencies:
  • Ability to foster an environment that nurtures collaboration, teamwork, and mutual respect.
  • Analytical ability required to evaluate digital applications and infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to start, complete and lead digital transformation projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to work with patients, physicians and department staff and leadership teams.
