Leidos is seeking a ServiceNow Architect/Developer to be part of the mission solution and help lead SSA's Digital Modernization Strategy. We are a team of forward-looking professionals in need of a strong candidate with these key required skills : The ServiceNow Architect/Developer will serve as the key technical resource for leading the enterprise strategy and implementation of ServiceNow solutions. The successful candidate will be working closely with the customer in reviewing requirements, implementing solutions from conception, development and implementation, and providing recommendation to best utilize investments with ServiceNow. Selected candidate must be a hands-on developer as a resource to on-going projects and initiatives.

  • Serve as the Principal ServiceNow application architect/developer responsible for implementing ServiceNow solution design using best industry and ServiceNow practices.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and document requirements.
  • Design and develop solutions within the ServiceNow environment to include new or modifications to applications, forms, flow, workflow, UI policies, UI actions, Business Rules, ACLs, UI Builder, and any other configurations required to support client processes.
  • Translate requirements/stories and mock-ups into fully functional features by working closely with the team lead.
  • Develop JavaScript server/client code.
  • Create and use update sets and XMLs to move customer configuration and data between environments.
  • Provide advanced support for ServiceNow by troubleshooting a variety of difficult software problems, implementing bug fixes, and performing root cause analysis.
  • Participate in discovery sessions and process definitions with team lead and other developers.
  • Lead efforts and provide guidance in requirements gathering and developing/documenting process workflows.
  • Develop ServiceNow solutions and push developments from DEV to TEST to PROD using Agile methodologies.
  • Provide guidance to ServiceNow developers.


FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS ( Basic Qualifications )
BS Degree and 12 years of experience. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 7 years of experience with the ServiceNow platform - ITAM including SAM, CMDB, Discovery, MID Servers, Workflow/Notifications, Workspaces, UI Policies, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Catalog Client Scripts, Catalog UI Policies, Email Scripts, ACL Roles / Groups.
  • 5 years of experience with importing and exporting data to ServiceNow using data loads, transform maps and transform scripts.
  • 5 years of experience developing ServiceNow SAM Implementations.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.

*** Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of SSA Headquarters in Woodlawn, MD

*** Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site at least 2 days a week.

These skills will help you succeed in this position:
  • ServiceNow Certifications (Preferred)
    • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) - Software Asset Management (SAM)
    • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Discovery
    • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
    • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • Experience developing ServiceNow GRC/IRM (Governance Risk and Compliance / Integrated Risk Management) modules including good understanding of Authority Documents, Citations, Policies, Control Objectives, Acknowledgment Campaigns, Entity Types, Risk and Audit processes in ServiceNow.
  • Solid ServiceNow ITOM Developer knowledge and experience (Software Asset Management, CMDB, MID Server and Discovery)
  • Skills with using JavaScript, REST and SOAP integrations.
  • Experience with ServiceNow App Engine Studio with UI Builder.
  • Experience designing and developing ServiceNow process flows and workflow.
  • Effective executive/stakeholder level briefings.
  • Excellent communication and written skills

Pay Range: Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
