Key Areas of Responsibility:

Direct sales of sponsorship opportunities across all IAAPA events, including Expos, awards programs, summits, IAAPA Presents, IAAPA Meet-ups, and other regional events. Maximize revenue to the association while coordinating onsite fulfillment and delivering excellent customer service to association sponsors.

Job Title: Global Sponsorship Sales Manager

Hours: Full time

Location: HQ - North America

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as key staff member selling sponsorships via direct mail, email promotion, and phone/video conference meetings, including sponsor package customization.
  • Monitor sponsorship budgets to ensure sales goals are met or exceeded.
  • Prepare custom proposals based on sponsor's goals and objectives.
  • Maintain active database of current and prospective sponsors, utilizing shared SalesForce database.
  • Assist with the production of all print and digital brochures, email campaigns, and promotional materials related to sponsorship.
  • Develop and schedule sponsorship marketing content in IAAPA newsletters, regional newsletters, exhibitor bulletins, and email campaigns.
  • Process sales contracts, distribute invoices, and facilitate materials collection.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for sponsors with questions regarding materials and deliverables, balances due, deadlines, etc.
  • Collaborate with other IAAPA departments (internal clients) on sponsorship offerings and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders on new or custom activations.
  • Create and maintain accurate sponsor services guide for each event.
  • Oversee sponsorship production schedules and all facets of sponsorship fulfillment to ensure all contractual obligations are met.
  • Detail-oriented data entry specific to sponsorship items - contact information, booth numbers, social media handles, event tickets, and tracking of all shipments.
  • Generate webpage tickets to update sponsor logos and other sponsor information on association website.
  • Assist with the processing and remittance of invoicing and follow up with delinquent payments for sponsors.
  • Prepare and distribute post-event details highlighting event information and demonstrating strong sponsor ROI.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of success in sales performance. Strong sales experience within association programs and/or trade shows preferred.
  • Knowledge of sales and promotion strategies, best practices, and prevailing trends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to work productively with a global team of professionals.
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and able to balance several projects at once.
  • Proactive in identifying problems and developing creative, efficient solutions.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office suite of products. Fonteva, a2z, Map Your Show, Ad Orbit, SharePoint and Salesforce software knowledge preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to IAAPA events.
  • Experience or interest in amusement park and attractions industry a plus.
