Responsibilities
- You will develop and implement taxonomies, controlled vocabularies, and metadata schemas.
- You will identify taxonomy requirements by analyzing partners' needs, system requirements, and EA's existing content corpus.
- You will help improve taxonomy development processes and outcomes.
- You will operationalize a taxonomy governance framework across multiple teams and diverse partners.
- You will partner with marketing, content, and technical teams to implement taxonomies.
- You will educate partners on taxonomy processes, workflows, and governance frameworks, defining complex concepts and relationships in an easy-to-understand way.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience building taxonomies in a global organization, including:
- An understanding of the theoretical principles of taxonomy architecture and experience adapting controlled vocabularies to meet specific organizational needs.
- Experience combining numerous requirements into holistic solutions that provide a long-term, strategic benefit.
- Master's degree in Library or Information Science or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Experience designing and collecting taxonomy requirements, including interviews, document analysis, workshops, business process outcome modelling, or task and workflow analysis.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment, including providing and receiving constructive peer feedback to promote excellence across the team.
- Experience communicating complex technical information among multiple partners.
- Experience with natural language search processes and machine learning to support taxonomy development and automated content tagging.
