Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multiple paving and grading projects in the Public Works sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing projects for Caltrans, a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or Construction Management (BSCM), and at least 10 years of experience working for a contractor.

Responsibilities:

- Manage multiple paving and grading projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality control
- Oversee project planning, design, construction, and close-out phases
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and government agencies (Caltrans)
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
- Ensure compliance with Caltrans standards, regulations, and permitting requirements
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project deliverables meet expectations
- Analyze project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or Construction Management (BSCM)
- At least 10 years of experience working for a contractor, managing public works projects
- Proven experience with Caltrans projects, standards, and regulations
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with paving and grading projects
- Knowledge of construction management software and technologies
- Certification in project management (PMP, CCM, etc.)
- Familiarity with local and state regulations, permitting requirements, and industry standards
