Job Quick Facts: * Specialty: Gastroenterology (IVCS Endoscopy) * Job Type: Locum Tenens * Facility Location: Yakima, WA * Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient * Reason For Coverage: Supplemental * Coverage Period: Jan 2, 2024 - Ongoing * Coverage Type: Clinical only * Shift Schedule: TBD; 1-2 weeks/month * Patient Volume: 14-16 * No. of Scheduled Cases: 14-15 (prepped) per day * % of Practice: - Essentially, an OP GI but all endoscopy in the system is (currently) done in IP setting. * Support Staff: 1 RN, 1 MA, & 1 Office Staff - The GI will not have Anesthesia support. * Required Procedures: - Upper GI endoscopy: with biopsy, with foreign body removal, with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), With injection of varices. - Sigmoidoscopy: Flexible - Colonoscopy: with biopsy, with excision of polyp * Trauma Level: III * EMR: Cerner and eCW * Temporary Privileges available: Yes * Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered Requirements: * WA License or IMLC * BC * ACLS
