Anesthesiology Physician

* Coverage Needed: * July 16, 2024 - ongoing * 5x10s per week * If taking weekday in-house call, the following day is post call * In-house call shift starts at 3pm and runs to 7am * Plus a 24 -hour regular weekend shift, Saturday 7am - Sunday 7am * Clinical Information: * Anesthetizing Sites: 12 ORs/9 NORA * Number of Surgical Cases per Year: 9,000 * Anesthesia Model: 9MD / 16 APP * MD:CRNA Ratio: 1:3. Care team model. Physicians do 99% supervision. Self performing cases is uncommon. Physicians are expected to be present for Induction and Emergence, participate in post op-care, participate in pre-op evaluation of patient. This is a hands on practice * Types of Cases: Level II Trauma, Ortho, Spine, Vascular, limited Neuro, Endo, EP Lab, * No OB or transplants * Cardiac Case Load: With TAVRs, mitral clips, CABG, etc.: 10-12/week. 40-50/month: EP, watchman: 80/month * MDs will have a CRNA for the general OR/Trauma/IR cases * EMR: Medaxion (for anesthesia charting) * Meditech for orders & reviewing patient records * Required: * DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active * Current Flu Vaccine * Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19 * Exemptions only allowed for religious or medical reasons, once approved by the facility. * Active FL License * Must be board certified or board eligible
