Job Description:
The Global Market Development Manager is responsible for leading the marketing program strategy for hemato-oncology applications in our Clinical Next-Generation Sequencing Division. The successful candidate will be a member of our Global Market Development Team, responsible for setting the strategic direction and tactical implementation of activities and deliverables for key product lines and application areas.
They will be accountable for executing to plan and delivering results by aligning with multiple cross-functional teams-including product management, regional marketing, commercial partners, and medical affairs.
S/he will drive all aspects of marketing for next-generation sequencing (NGS) product lines focused on hemato-oncology and immuno-oncology applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop strategic, multi-channel integrated marketing plans for hemato-oncology products and applications.
• Guide the development of copy and creative content for research markets, appropriately positioning products within compliance guidelines, while conveying strong value propositions and clear product differentiation
• Create and implement appropriate marketing content across multiple channels, including social media, web, video, print, and more
• Develop sales force training and customer education material in collaboration with product management, R&D, regional marketing, and commercial teams
• Develop and manage a robust lead generation funnel
• Coordinate with global functions to ensure consistency with brand profiles and company standards
• Collaborate and ensure alignment of marketing plans and sales training materials among Product Management, Regional Market Development, Commercial Partners, and other stakeholders
• Engage with agency partners to deliver high-quality assets, including, but not limited to, creative direction and content for print and digital collateral, PR, social media, customer-facing presentations, global tradeshow properties and promotional materials
• Maintain campaign metrics dashboards to measure the effectiveness of marketing activities
• Maintain knowledge of the trends and competitive activity
• Manage marketing budgets and leverage analytics to optimize the promotional mix on campaigns to achieve a high return on investment
• Act as a brand ambassador, understanding, upholding, and communicating our multi-brand strategy in all aspects of our marketing programs
• Interact with varying levels of internal and external personnel including direct customer communication, KOL engagement and management, and public presentation
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Immunology, or other life science. Alternatively, degree in Marketing, Communications or Business, with previous work experience in biotechnology, medical devices, or pharmaceutical industry is also acceptable. Advanced scientific degree or MBA is a plus.
• 4+ years of experience in marketing roles of increasing scope and responsibility in the genomics, oncology, or molecular diagnostic areas.
• Experience developing successful lead generation programs using multi-channel strategies to drive growth.
• Foundational understanding of regulatory principles related to molecular diagnostic products
• Exceptional skill managing complex marketing projects with a strong attention to detail
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experienced and adept with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Approximately 10-15% domestic travel
