Job Summary:
- The Assistant Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance activities within the Frozen Products plant. This includes supervising the maintenance team, coordinating repair efforts, and ensuring proper training and adherence to safety and company policies. The role requires strong communication, technical knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining equipment reliability to support production operations.
- Oversee maintenance activities, supervising and training personnel to ensure reliable operations in a high-speed production environment.
- Manage scheduling and coordinate maintenance tasks with production management to optimize plant operations.
- Implement and monitor maintenance programs, making improvements as needed for quality and consistency.
- Lead technical support for maintenance staff, requisitioning tools, parts, and authorizing emergency repairs when necessary.
- Promote safety, quality assurance, and adherence to company policies while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, PLCs, industrial electrical systems, and computer hardware/software.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance engineering experience, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities, with experience managing and scheduling a team.
- Ability to work flexibly, including availability for 24-hour technical support when required.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and emergency response leadership.
