Job Description Position Overview: At the local level, plan, organize and direct the administration of all Amcor Rigid Plastics human resources policies, procedures and programs regarding recruitment, compensation and benefits, training and development, EEO, health and safety, labor relations and employee relations necessary to carry out company and plant objectives. Provide guidance to Plant Manager, functional managers and supervisors in the interpretation and application of established human resources policies to create a climate of trust and open communication. Ensure full compliance with all relevant federal and state laws and governmental regulations. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems. Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, and employee relations. Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Maintains company organization charts and employee directory. Oversee the evaluation, classification and rating of occupations and job positions, and identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicants. Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, conducting investigations, releasing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures. Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations. Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations. Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organization's personnel policies and practices. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree Human Resources or related field Nationally recognized Human Resources Certificate preferred (i.e. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, etc.) Five years of experience in the field of Human Resources Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
