Duke Childrens Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Division is recruiting for a full-time Pediatric Pulmonologist who will spearhead our pediatric pulmonary hypertension program, as well as our broncho-pulmonary dysplasia (BPD) program in Durham, NC. This physician will see general pediatric pulmonary patients, as well, and round on the inpatient service. Duke Childrens is a 190-bed childrens hospital within a 1,100-bed academic medical center that offers a full spectrum of pediatric services and specialties. We seek collegial and supportive team members with a growth mindset.
Opportunities:
- Spearhead the pediatric pulmonary hypertension clinic and round on pediatric pulmonary hypertension in-patients.
- Oversee the BPD pediatric pulmonary patients and round on the inpatient BPD patients.
- General pediatric pulmonary outpatient clinic (direct care, teaching and supervision of trainees)
- Consult inpatient service for children with pediatric pulmonary problems
- Opportunities in medical education, quality improvement, safety, community engagement
Ideal Candidates:
- Expertise in Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension, BPD, ILD, and rare lung disease.
- Exceptional clinical and communication skills, and a passion for patient and family-centered care
- Skilled in collaborative interdisciplinary care, adaptable and flexible
- Committed to the equitable advancement of health for all children and families
- American Board of Pediatrics certified/eligible (Pediatric Pulmonary)
