Shift Details: Flexible on scheduled days, 24 hours per week of patient facing time, 8-4:30, rotating on call coverage after hours and weekends.
Endocrinologist – Diabetes Education
Hartford HealthCare, (HHC) the most comprehensive, integrated health care system in CT, has an outstanding Part-time opportunity for an Endocrinologist to join our Diabetes and Endocrinology Program at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, located in New Britain, CT. The HOCC Endocrine Program, one of the largest in the state, offers an academic affiliation with highly ranked medical schools and active participation in fellowship and internal medicine training.
Some highlights of our Endocrine Program at the Hospital of Central Connecticut:
· Serving a large population with a variety of complex endocrine disorders with the focus on gestational diabetes, using a team-based approach toward diabetes wellness and prevention.
· Being a part of advanced multispecialty teams of radiology, nuclear medicine, molecular diagnostics, surgery and oncology specialists, as well as MSK endocrine oncology collaboration.
· Outpatient practice on the HOCC campus, focused on multi-disciplinary advanced endocrine disease.
· Time spent with the Diabetes Life Care program
· One week per month general endocrinology inpatient rotation
· Our team includes four registered dietitians to assist with meal planning, meter and insulin teaching, and Continuous Glucose Monitoring.
Requirements
· BC/BE in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism
· Active license or eligible to be licensed in the State of Connecticut
