Summary
Baylor College of Medicine is seeking 3 full-time faculty members to join our team in the Department of Pediatrics Section of Gastroenterology at the CHRISTUS Children's Hospital of San Antonio. We have needs for a General Pediatric Gastroenterologist, Advanced Endoscopy Gastroenterologist, and a physician Specializing in Motility Disorders. This position comes with a faculty appointment within the Department of Pediatrics (rank is determined by individual accomplishments), a competitive salary, and full benefits package.

Job Duties:
- Clinical responsibilities include ambulatory and inpatient care, consultative services, and performance of general GI procedures. The candidate is expected to participate in the supervision and education of medical students, residents, and fellows in Gastroenterology. The section has also established the first of its kind Advanced Endoscopy fellowship and has successfully trained 5 fellows. The Voelker Clinical Research Center provides assistance for interested faculty who wish to pursue clinical research.
- Outpatient clinical care for children with all types of intestinal, hepatic, pancreatic and nutritional disorders.
- Inpatient care, consultation, and emergency room consultation for children with all types of intestinal, hepatic, pancreatic and nutritional disorders.
- General pediatric gastrointestinal procedures (e.g., upper endoscopy and colonoscopy with related therapeutic procedures).
Minimum Qualifications
- M.D., Ph.D. / M.D. / D.O. degree, or equivalent
- Completion of an ACGME approved fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology (or equivalent)
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board
- Board Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics, subspecialty certification in pediatric gastroenterology medicine (or eligible for same)
