Our team is driving the hiring process for an Electrician 5 to support the Aerospace Avionics Test Engineering organization, a global engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining manufacturing test solutions. This role supports a $5B Avionics strategic business unit and external customers, including armed services and airlines worldwide. Key Responsibilities:
Provide test station build support for research, design, development, or manufacturing activities.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and use lookup tools effectively.
Construct and verify continuity of multi-pin cables and connectors.
Solder all levels of electronic components onto Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), cable connectors, and electronic parts per specifications.
Use appropriate soldering materials, fluxes, and tools, ensuring proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
Construct panels, fixtures, and integrate rack installations.
Document test solution design modifications and maintain associated documentation.
Assist engineers with new engineering processes and/or products to ensure manufacturability, recommending design changes where necessary.
Perform as an active participant in design teams, utilizing effective communication skills.
Understand and follow written and verbal customer instructions.
May assist in orienting, training, and assigning work to technical/business support employees.
Basic Qualifications:
Education:
2-year degree in engineering technology or electronics OR completed relevant coursework.
OR 8-9 years of relevant experience in electronics manufacturing or laboratory roles.
Experience in soldering, preparing cables, and assembling electronic components onto PCBs.
Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Strong written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills.
Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working in an electronics manufacturing or laboratory role.
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using lookup tools.
Experience in multi-pin cable and connector construction.
Familiarity with panel and fixture construction and integrated rack installation.
