The incumbent supports administrative and instructional activities across the Adult Education program. The Administrative Analyst is responsible for conducting special research studies, analyzing data, preparing statistics, making recommendations based on research findings, and monitoring and coordinating project/program activities. This individual will assist adults with the enrollment and assessment process, collect and report student data, assist with admissions, assessment and instruction days and evenings in various locations on campus. This position reports to the Dean of Adult Education. This is a full-time, twelve-month position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts special studies such as cost analysis for each of the seven grant funds, effectiveness of program services focusing on assessment and instruction, and the identification of and solution to problem areas. Assists in the development of project goals and objectives.
  • Assists in the planning, organizing, and scheduling of project/program implementation procedures and develops monitoring and reporting systems to measure project effectiveness.
  • Researches and analyzes data pertinent to student performance measures. Prepares reports explaining findings impacting future funding.
  • Assists in the development of policies and procedures based on research findings.
  • Assists with the development of handbooks and manuals for employees and students with updates throughout the school year.
  • Assists with the program's evaluation process by gathering information, reviewing files, researching data, conducting surveys and interviews, and compiling annual reports. Composes correspondence and responses to written inquiries. Maintains active program communication internally and externally.
  • Acts as liaison to other programs, departments, or agencies communicating regularly with documentation of message, impact and/or response.
  • Develop mastery of usage of LACES and WorkDay data systems.
  • Assist with the administration of all assessments including TABE, TABE CLAS-E, GED Ready, the official GED Tests, and Accuplacer face-to-face and online.
  • Complete professional development training as required.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Rate of Pay $18.55

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of planning, research, and analysis techniques and procedures.
  • Knowledge of department operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Ability to plan and execute systems and organizational analysis and feasibility studies.
  • Ability to conduct research and perform quantitative quality assurance reviews.
  • Ability to research, prepare, and present comprehensive written and oral reports.
  • Ability to organize and conduct meetings and workshops.

Required Qualifications

The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in public administration, general business, or a related field.

Additional requirements determined by the institution for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Arkansas Division of Higher Education.
