Summary of Position:

This position is responsible for leading priorities in the Strategy and Business Development functional area. This individual will work closely with the Senior Director of Strategy & Business Development and the Executive Vice President of Strategy, Business Development, and Insights to drive priorities. He or she will actively support functional areas in the annual business planning process to ensure strategic alignment and cross-functional alignment, will drive development of materials for key strategic meetings (e.g., Board Meetings, Knauf Managers' Meeting, GMC, etc.) throughout the year, in collaboration with functional leaders, and will serve as the Project Lead on a set of business cases or other strategic projects throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Execute prioritized strategy and business development initiatives independently with limited guidance
  • Examples include: M&A pipeline development process, company overviews, market assessments and screens, business case development, competitive assessments, etc, while demonstrating an ability to work across the organization to leverage the extensive knowledge and skillset that exists in the org.
  • Own the content development of key sections of materials for the key annual corporate meetings, collaborating with functional areas and SMEs
  • Quarterly Board Meetings
  • Knauf Group Meetings: GMC, KMM, Family Committee, General Partners, etc.
  • Serve as a project leader in the corporate strategy annual planning process
  • Support the process of setting annual priorities through a company SWOT
  • Develop content and then serve as an active facilitator in strategic planning sessions, at the functional and corporate levels
  • Provide guidance to functional areas in developing their strategy documents
  • Lead optimization of the tools, processes, and best practices used in the business planning and execution process
  • Provide consulting and analytical support for functional business areas. Establish the trust, track record and pull required for developing such a consulting practice.


Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree Business or related field


Experience:
  • A proven track record of working with senior executives and developing a collaborative rapport with individuals both more senior and more junior
  • Strong excel and powerpoint skills to support the development of business cases, company tools and templates, and strategic presentations
  • Ability to take inputs from a variety of people and places internally and externally and develop a cohesive story and strategy that is easy to understand and explain
  • If candidate does not come with industry expertise, he or she must demonstrate a willingness and aptitude for quickly developing deep knowledge and understand of the insulation market
  • A strong cultural fit, demonstrated by a willingness to collaborate with others and flexibly move across priorities as the needs of the business flex throughout the year
