As a DevOps engineer, you will play a critical role in integrating and automating processes between software development and IT operations, ensuring continuous delivery and high-quality software deployments. This position is responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure and tools required for deployment, testing, and monitoring of applications, while embedding security practices into every stage of the software development lifecycle. The DevOps Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and project managers, to optimize workflows, foster collaboration, and drive efficiency through automation, scalability, and security. The ideal candidate is passionate about driving innovation in development pipelines, improving system reliability, and delivering scalable solutions in cloud environments while adhering to DevSecOps principles. Experience with Copado and Salesforce is essential, as this role will include managing and optimizing both Salesforce workflowsResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage secure CI/CD pipelines, embedding security checks, code analysis, and vulnerability assessments. Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to automate and streamline infrastructure, deployment, and release processes. Implement, monitor, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) while ensuring compliance with security best practices. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, operations, and security to ensure systems run efficiently and securely. Manage and optimize Salesforce development workflows using Copado, integrating version control, automated testing, and continuous delivery. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments, performing root cause analysis for continuous improvement. Ensure the security, availability, and scalability of infrastructure and applications through best practices in automation, monitoring, and system design. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve systems and processes. Knowledge, Skill, and/or Abilities In-depth understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps principles and automation tools. Strong proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Travis CI, with experience integrating security into the pipeline. Advanced knowledge of cloud infrastructure services like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and practices, including static and dynamic code analysis, software composition analysis, SAST/DAST/IAST tools, and security scanning. Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog. Strong scripting and automation skills using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Hands-on experience using Copado for Salesforce deployment and release management. Knowledge of Copado features such as version control integration, automated testing, and pipeline management. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments. Must Have Qualifications Requires a Baccalaureate Degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.Nice to Have QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or related role. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools, including security integration. Strong understanding of Linux/Unix-based systems and system administration. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration. Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and experience embedding security into CI/CD pipelines. Experience with Copado, specifically managing Salesforce deployments and development workflows. Experience with SAP DevOps, including managing SAP transports and supporting SAP systems in a DevOps environment. Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer, or Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer. Experience with additional DevSecOps tools such as SonarQube, Aqua Security, Checkmarx, or Twistlock. Copado certification or experience integrating Copado with other CI/CD and DevOps tools. Experience with hybrid cloud environments or multi-cloud deployments. Knowledge of serverless architectures and microservices design patterns. Experience with security tools and practices, including vulnerability scanning, firewalls, and compliance automation. Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including DNS, VPNs, and load balancing. Experience with Agile development methodologies and working in a Scrum or Kanban environment. SAP certification or specialized training in SAP DevOps or SAP Solution Manager. Strong experience in SAP DevOps, including knowledge of SAP transports, SAP Solution Manager, and integrating SAP environments with CI/CD pipelines. Physical Job RequirementsThe above PR) locations (USD):$128,000.00 - $192,000.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
