OVERVIEW:

This role is based in the Needham, MA headquarters and is on site 3x a week

The Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) role at Shark works to define the strategy and execution of key consumer facing advertising, influencer, media, events, and activations communications. This role is responsible for leading the Brand Planning, Creative Strategy, Production, and Execution of the Creative Strategy in service of a new product launch campaigns and larger brand sustaining campaigns with coordination between internal public relations, influencer, content, media, consumer insights, brand, and creative teams, as well as leading the collaboration of multiple external agency partners. All of this is in service of achieving a high rate of sale on all products. They are responsible for orchestrating cross-functional activations partnering with teams including Paid Media, Social, Paid Search, DTC, and Amazon to drive strategy and support for our products.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams to develop and execute comprehensive, integrated marketing strategies for established B2C consumer brands that leverage multiple channels (e.g. digital, social, streaming, TV, etc.) to drive awareness, demand, engagement, and revenue growth. As a Director Integrated Marketing Communications, you will be a brand steward helping to lead the development and execution of the brand communications and execution strategies driving consistent voice, message, and campaign integration across all channels. You will oversee the creation of Home Environment's integrated marketing plan and engaging campaigns that amplify the brand's equity and drive growth for our business. You will partner closely with product management, sales, creative, and other key stakeholders to ensure a cohesive, differentiated, and customer-obsessed experience.

Here are some of the EXCITING things you'll get to do:

  • Integrated Marketing Communications Leadership: Leads Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) strategy, creative development and execution across all consumer touchpoints including traditional and non-traditional mediums in close partnership with internal category leads. You will work to conduct research and gather insights and recommendations on our target demographics and personas helping to craft our brand message and value prop across products throughout the funnel.
  • Creative Brief Building: Develop compelling briefs that succinctly articulate key objectives and success criteria for internal and external creative, media, PR, and influencer partners to action.
  • Global Connections: Serve as the liaison between regional teams from brief to development and delivery, to optimizations considering regionalization needs and feedback to deliver truly globally connected campaigns.
  • Brand Activation Planning: Participate in forward-thinking brand plans across the Shark Home Environment product line. Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand Marketing category teams, consumer insights, product development, media, creative, influencer and PR teams to pressure-test fully integrated strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Digital Strategy: Work across paid media, DTC, Amazon, and retail teams to orchestrate successful launch strategies, as well as ongoing campaigns throughout the year to drive growth for our business - this includes critical promotional events.
  • Post-Launch Optimization: Understand performance, crystalize learnings, optimize in market creative and future briefs to improve the success of future brand activity. Support development and implementation of best practices and processes across all consumer touchpoints.
  • Project Management Ownership: Owner of key timelines, program management, and budget with internal and agency partners to ensure bar-raising execution on time.
  • Reporting and Data-Driven Optimizations: Partner cross functionally on reporting and ongoing optimizations to campaign strategies across all Home Environment products, channels, mediums, and audiences. Monitor and analyze critical metrics, consumer insights, and category trends to continually evolve the brand strategy.
ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree or above in marketing, business, or relevant field
  • 10+ years of leading integrated brand marketing campaigns and integrated demand generation for established B2C consumer product brands
  • 10+ years of managerial skills and comfortable managing and building teams.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a strong creative eye customer-facing deliverables across channels and mediums
  • Ability to craft impactful customer-facing product marketing messaging including positioning, value propositions, features and benefits, as well as naming, brand identity, and engagement campaigns
  • Proven strategic, creative, and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate insights into impactful marketing programs
  • Strong communication skills and ability to make effective presentations to all levels of management
  • Broad spectrum of marketing skills, defining strategies, building plans, and driving product launches
  • Project management and ability to manage several projects in parallel, navigating a complex cross-functional matrix
  • Ability to synthesize complex product features into compelling and desirable consumer benefits
  • Comfortable working at a fast, iterative pace with a bias for action, taking initiative, and rolling up your sleeves and get it done together
  • Expertise with influencing, conflict resolution, and creative problem solving
  • Comfortable mining and analyzing data and drawing conclusions.
