THE JOB:

The Facilities Dispatcher's primary responsibility is to provide exceptional internal and external guest service by utilizing strong communication and customer service skills. This role supports guests, engineers, and other departments by efficiently coordinating maintenance requests, ensuring timely responses, and helping achieve operational goals.


STARTING RATE:$21 an hour


THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Manage Maintenance Dispatch: Operate and manage the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to prioritize, assign, and dispatch tasks to the maintenance team efficiently.

  • Administrative Duties: Consistently complete assigned administrative tasks such as work order documentation, reporting, and task tracking to ensure smooth operations.

  • Handle Requests and Complaints: Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints, using sound judgment to resolve issues immediately and follow up to guarantee guest satisfaction.

  • Call Management: Answer incoming calls, providing assistance directly or routing calls to the appropriate department or team member, ensuring a swift response.

  • Multitasking in Fast-Paced Environment: Recognize the demands of a fast-paced environment by effectively multitasking and owning all guest requests and complaints until resolution.

  • Teamwork and Positive Environment: Foster teamwork by creating a positive work environment, acknowledging coworkers' contributions, and thanking them for their support.

  • Guest Service Excellence: Anticipate guest needs and prioritize requests. Respond to all guests promptly and courteously, regardless of time or workload.

  • Knowledge of Hotel Operations: Stay knowledgeable about hotel information, departmental goals, and procedures to accurately answer guest inquiries and assist colleagues.

  • Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and accident prevention for both personal and property areas, contributing to a secure environment.

  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other job-related tasks and duties as requested, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across all maintenance and facility services.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Availability: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Hotel Dispatcher Experience: Previous experience as a hotel dispatcher, with a strong ability to prioritize and manage maintenance or service requests in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

  • Customer Service Excellence: Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service, quickly resolving guest requests or issues while maintaining a positive, professional demeanor.

  • Safety Panel Experience: Demonstrated experience in monitoring and responding to safety panels, ensuring quick and accurate handling of alarms and safety protocols.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of computer systems such as Opera and HotSOS, or similar property management and maintenance systems, with the ability to adapt to new software efficiently.

  • Radio/Communication Skills: Excellent radio communication skills, capable of clear and concise communication with maintenance teams, departments, and management.
