Description

Structural Engineer (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services, Inc; Irvine, CA): Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of wood, concrete, and steel building structures and facilities. Perform broad, varied, and diverse structural engineering design tasks on assigned projects under general supervision of the lead or manager, including engineering drawings, engineering reports, presentations, and required applications to regulatory and/or funding agencies. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.). The salary range is $99,380 - $128,500 per year. #GTM

Qualifications

Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience with the following: Designing wood, concrete, masonry, and steel building structures; Designing lateral systems in a high seismic region, including braced frame connection design and steel moment frame design; Structural analysis using software ETABS, SAFE, RISA-3D, Enercalc, RetainPro, HILTI PROFIS, and RAM; Building foundation structural design; Creating structural drawings for construction of buildings; and Construction Administration including RFI response, submittal review, and performing site visits and structural observations.

Must have an active Professional Engineer (PE) license from the state of California.

Telecommuting permitted 2 days a week.

Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 20%.
