Position Summary:
The Operations Manager for Audio Visual (AV) Operations will be responsible for managing the day-to-day resources, operations contracts and operations risk identification. This role involves supporting/executing customer needs and helps manage, train, and lead specialists in personal, technical, and career development/training. They also oversee and manage event schedules and collaboration with AV implementation to effectively utilize staff by understanding skillsets and deadlines.

Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Operations Manager for Audio Visual (AV) Operations will be responsible for managing the day-to-day resources, operations contracts and operations risk identification. This role involves supporting/executing customer needs and helps manage, train, and lead specialists in personal, technical, and career development/training. They also oversee and manage event schedules and collaboration with AV implementation to effectively utilize staff by understanding skillsets and deadlines.
Operations Management:
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of AV Operations contracts to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of services.
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and provide staffing expertise during operations project planning and execution ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Resolve operational issues promptly and effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
Resource Management:
- Lead and manage the AV teams, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Oversee the allocation and management of AV resources in implementation and operations, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Develop and maintain resource plans to ensure availability and optimal utilization.
- Coordinate with other departments to meet project and operational requirements.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the AV team.
Service Ticket Management:
- Monitoring ticketing system ensuring timely and effective resolution of AV issues.
- Assign and Monitor tickets based on urgency and impact.
- Track and report on service ticket metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Live Production Support:
- Provide scheduling and staffing management support for live events.
- Collaborate with event coordinators and clients to ensure AV requirements are met.
- Manage on-site AV teams during live productions to ensure smooth execution.
Requirements:
- Travel to client locations as required to oversee and manage on-site AV Operationsactivities.
- Assist on-site to ensure Operations projects are executed according to specifications andclient expectations.
- Work on-site at the corporate office or warehouse at least 3 times per week.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. Atechnical degree in AV or IT is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in AV operations management or a similar role.
- Proven experience in managing AV projects and teams.
- Strong understanding of AV technologies, and industry standards.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using AV management software and tools.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
