The Human Resource Manager plays a pivotal role within our dynamic Human Resources Team, leading day-to-day activities and assisting the organization in achieving its business objectives. The Human Resource Manager will support various HR functions across the enterprise to include labor relations and collective bargaining agreement administration, employee relations, leave and workers compensation administration, benefit administration, employee engagement, recruitment, and performance management. The position will develop strong relationships across the organization and deliver value-added contributions.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the HR Director and HR Team with leading and implementing a variety of projects and initiatives.
- Is a primary subject matter expert on labor relations, collective bargaining agreement administration, grievance management, union-free management, and other union-centric workplace issues.
- Guides management and participates in employee relations issues including, but not limited to, employee complaints and concerns, investigations, disciplinary and coaching actions, and terminations ensuring fair and consistent treatment of all employees.
- Works in conjunction with the entire HR team to identify the need for, develop, draft, update, revise, maintain, interpret, and enforce HR policies and procedures consistent with established business objectives.
- Helps to manage the employee New Hire and Exit Interview Survey.
- Assists in the administration and tracking of FMLA, Disability and Leaves of Absence cases across the company.
- Supports broader HR functions related to engagement surveys, recognition, employee events, branding, onboarding, recruitment activities, and performance management.
- Assists in coaching managers on effectively engaging employees, addressing and resolving people and employee relation issues in partnership with the HR Director.
- Helps to manage and provide oversight and coordination of workers' compensation claims at the plant locations in partnership with the HR Director and Safety team.
- May assist in advising employees on eligibility, coverage, and other benefit matters.
- Supports annual HR processes including Affirmative Action Planning, Benefits Open Enrollment, Data Validation, Audits, and other initiatives.
- Collects and interprets data; creates HR reports, analyzes results and recommends improvement activities.
- Partners with business leaders and HR regarding compliance with all applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations, Human Resource policies, and best practices.
- Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated labor relations knowledge and experience, including CBA administration, grievance management, and collective bargaining.
- Solid knowledge of HR policies and procedures, and of employment laws and regulations; federal, state specific, and local.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, supporting multiple manufacturing locations, both union and non-union.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills. Must be able to effectively communicate at all levels
- Self-starter with a superior work effort and defined sense of urgency.
- Ability to exercise effective judgement, sensitivity, and creativity to changing needs and situations.
- Strong attention to detail and analytically driven; excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to work independently.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree required; major in Human Resources, Business or other related field preferred.
- 7 + years of progressive HR experience within Human Resources
- Experience with employee relations in both union and non-union environments.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in HRIS software and other HR-related technology tools.
