Your New Role

CNN is looking for a Principal Product Manager for New Businesses. The New Businesses team will be leading the creation of new, standalone products at CNN, and focused on the creation of separate, non-news experiences that can help enrich our users' lives and drive the subscription business.

The ideal candidate has an understanding of creating 0-1 products and new product development, subscription businesses, and partnership with editorial organizations. You should also have an entrepreneurial mindset and thrive in an environment that is constantly changing.

Your Role Accountabilities:
  • Be a key member of CNN's New Businesses team, driving subscription growth through non-news and standalone products.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, editorial, and senior leadership to translate strategic initiatives into best-in-class product experiences.
  • Partner with stakeholders (research, design, technology, content, senior leadership) to define the Product roadmap, aligning with user needs, value propositions, and market opportunities.
  • Translate business needs and user insights into clear, prioritized and actionable product requirements, balancing input from various teams.
  • Manage trade-offs during requirement reviews to ensure product releases meet business goals.
  • Define key performance indicators and use data to make informed Product and Business decisions.
  • Be part of a cross-functional team focused on rapid prototyping to test and validate product features, and proofs of concept.
  • Collaborate with design and user research on testing and research plans.
  • Innovate and push the boundaries of CNN's business, encouraging a launch-learn-iterate approach.
  • Foster a collaborative environment with engineers, ensuring continuous feedback for maximum impact.
  • Be a self-starter, able to manage projects and deadlines while adapting as needed.


Qualifications & Experience:
  • Overall Experience: You have 11+ years of digital product management/development experience.
  • Implements activities that impact the critical directions of the organization.
  • Leads product management activities and influence product strategy and planning decisions for the most business critical, strategic, complex, and high-risk products.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert to assist other product managers in the
    resolution of highly complex, high-risk, and/or business critical problems.
  • Makes recommendations on increased or decreased investment levels in product based on metrics and overall market potential.
  • Responsible for performance and achieving goals for a strategic product area. Responsible for product ideation and planning and delivery of key results.
  • Develops detailed key qualitative and quantitative metrics for product area.
  • Works with a wide range of cross-functional partners to ensure that products get to market per specifications, within budget, and on schedule.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $189,700.00 - $352,300.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
