Come and join Maritime Veterinary Emergency and Specialty center - our new 24,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art hospital in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Our 24-hour Emergency is open and Referral Specialty starts in summer 2024. Our Emergency & Specialty hospital will deliver much-needed care for pets in the greater Halifax Regional Municipality and beyond.

The Medical Director is an experienced veterinarian or specialty veterinarian who will be responsible for ensuring quality patient care is being met throughout the hospital along with driving overall employee satisfaction. This can be achieved by providing coaching and mentorship to our veterinarians and support staff, advocating for team health, and overseeing and creating SOP's to improve patient care as well as holding doctors and staff accountable to these guidelines. These goals will be achieved by working in collaboration with the doctors, staff, and the leadership team.

Our DVM team will consist of experienced emergency veterinarians and specialists as we plan to have surgery, internal medicine, exotics, cardiology, radiology, and more.

A specialty veterinarian is preferable for this role, however associate veterinarians with leadership experience are encouraged to apply.
