Job Summary

The Senior Director of Facility Operations will provide strategic leadership and oversight of the engineering team and operations at Allegiant Stadium, including but not limited to; overseeing the operation, maintenance and repair of a variety of heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical and other mechanical equipment and systems within Allegiant Stadium. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for all engineering related items for vendors, clients, agencies and shows. This role will also be responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of the engineering department and its responsibilities.

Required Qualifications (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education):

  • Provide operational expertise as it relates to the prioritizing service and maintenance of building systems with the event schedule in mind.


  • Ensure building systems are set, operate event and ensure customer requirements are met.


  • Ensure records on all maintenance and repairs are up to date.


  • Supervise the engineers designated to manage the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical equipment including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, pumps, air handlers, refrigeration equipment, fire protection systems and other critical and non-critical equipment.


  • Communicate and distribute the weekly schedules of the Engineering team.


  • Manage and ensure compliance with the collective bargaining agreement.


  • Manage third party service providers by enforcing the agreed upon scope of services within various signed service agreements.


  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOP) and training programs for engineering functions of the facility.


  • Manage a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance program; a standard operation procedure to proactively ensure equipment is functioning properly.


  • Continuous review of the facility needs and make recommendations repairs, maintenance, or special projects to the VP.


  • Complete inspections of buildings and grounds, to include all damage and cleaning errors, so building meets facility standards and in compliance with all local, state and federal safety laws.


  • Assist with projects and the preparation of the annual capital improvement plan and budgeting.


  • A minimum education level of a Bachelor of Arts/Science degree. Advance degree preferred.


  • A minimum of 7 years related work experience in live entertainment production.


  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate a diverse workforce.


  • Skilled at interacting effectively with all levels of management and staff, promoters, suppliers, guests, and visitors.


  • Ability to build strong working relationships with local fire, police, and building departments, and other government entities.


  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and supervise production and operations activities with full-time managers and operational staff.


  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.


  • Excellent verbal, written and public relations skills.


  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and variable schedules.


  • Knowledge of Federal and state OSHA regulations.


  • Knowledge of safety practices, including first aid and all applicable safety standards for public facilities.


  • Working knowledge of retractable seating and temporary stage deck systems.


  • Solid accounting and financial skills.


  • High-level of proficiency in CAD software.


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
