Position: Director, Performance Outcomes & Risk
As the Director of Performance Outcomes & Risk at Scripps Green, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality care and regulatory compliance across the hospital and the broader Scripps Health system. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and overseeing quality improvement initiatives, driving excellence in patient safety and care outcomes.
- Developing and executing strategies to maintain and exceed regulatory compliance standards.
- Partnering with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care quality and foster continuous performance improvement.
- Monitoring and analyzing performance metrics to guide ongoing quality initiatives.
- Providing leadership, guidance, and support to quality management teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of leadership experience driving change initiatives within a healthcare or home care setting.
- Strong understanding and applied knowledge of quality assurance, performance improvement, and regulatory accreditation standards.
- If a Registered Nurse, must possess a current California RN license.
- Master's degree in Health Administration, Nursing, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Experience working within a large health system, particularly in a matrix reporting environment.
- Advanced training or certification in performance improvement and risk management methodologies, such as:
- Scripps Performance Improvement Certificate Training
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM)
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
