As a structural project engineer, you're adept at creating. You take that idea - that vision in your head - and create drawings and specifications. You're strategic and thorough, performing and reviewing calculations for the stability and strength of a project. You check the work of your peers, write reports and evaluations, and even go on-site to assess overall construction progress and, ultimately, its completion.

Your Responsibilities

Under the supervision and direction of a more Senior Engineer

  • Design calculations and prepare construction plans and specifications for bridge and culvert projects.
  • Occasional fieldwork such as condition inspection of existing bridges.
  • Design and analysis of various bridge structural elements.


What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, and/or Microstation software.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A desire to grow into more elevated roles within the Structural Group and the Organization.
  • Possess strong communication, report writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passing of the FE examination.
  • 1+ years' experience as a Civil Engineer with a concentration in structures.
