The General Manager will be responsible for scheduling and supervising employees to
effectively provide HVAC service, repair, and installation for customers. The General Manager
supports good customer relations by ensuring that services are provided as scheduled, at
competitive prices, and that all applicable codes and regulations are adhered to. The General
Manager's roles, responsibilities, and compensation will grow with the expansion into new
markets.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and delegates service personnel to include assistance with hiring, and discipline, scheduling personnel, setting work priorities, training, completing time sheets, evaluating performance, and supervising work assignments to ensure effective operations.
  • Evaluates workload and schedules to maximize production.
  • Ensures materials and equipment are ordered and distributed for scheduled jobs.
  • Reviews and approves parts, material, equipment, and tool procurement.
  • Assists with dispatching of services to appropriate technician.
  • Ensures each job is completed on time and to customer satisfaction and performs on-site inspections.
  • Reviews service paperwork and ensures all field personnel adhere to procedural standards of reporting and documentation.
  • Assists with oversight of safety reporting.
  • Assists in providing accurate reports and updates on labor costs, work scheduling,
    billing, and payroll.
  • Provides coaching, feedback, and ongoing technical and communication training to all
    subordinates to increase performance.
  • Participates in all company sponsored training classes.
  • Maintains compliance of licensing, permitting, and code requirements.
  • Effectively manages conflict resolution with clients through clear communication, addressing all concerns, questions, or problems expediently.
  • Communicates with other departments to ensure the proper transfer of all service work
    business data.
  • Always maintains a professional image by:
    • Wearing only company approved and provided One Hour apparel.
    • Following safety policies and procedures.
    • Abiding by ALL One Hour standards of performance and code of ethics.
    • Maintaining a courteous demeanor with all customers and associates.
    • Maintaining company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization, both inside
      and out.
    • Respecting the customer's property.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of verifiable managerial, technical, and sales experience in HVAC or related field.
  • Knowledge of the fundamental of operational functionality of residential and light commercial heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment.
  • Knowledge of the layout, installation, and service requirements for residential and light commercial HVAC.
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of current HVAC products.
  • Consistent track record of meeting/exceeding annual revenue goals.
  • Ability to understand effects of economic, financial, and market conditions on the business.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Knowledge of local codes and permitting requirements.
  • Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Word and Excel. Large group office management experience.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.


Education/Certification Requirements:

  • NATE Certification
  • GED or High School Diploma.
  • EPA Certification.

Environmental Conditions:

  • Climbing, heavy lifting, loud noise, crawling, working in confined spaces, pushing/pulling, carrying equipment, bending, turning, kneeling.


Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders and stairs.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and may be exposed to verbal and/or physical confrontations.
  • Must be able to work extended hours, nights, or weekends as needed.
  • Ability to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
  • Natural or corrected vision to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perception.
  • Work assignments may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation to a known disability.


Compensation: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
