The Role:
As the Director of Operations in Orangeburg, you will report to the VP of Manufacturing in the Industrial Solutions business unit. You will lead the team in the pursuit of excellence in EHS performance while meeting delivery and quality KPIs for our customers in a cost-effective manner. You will need to adjust the site's priorities based on demand, economical, EHS and compliance requirements and challenges and unite the team to achieve these goals.

The Role:
As the Director of Operations in Orangeburg, you will report to the VP of Manufacturing in the Industrial Solutions business unit. You will lead the team in the pursuit of excellence in EHS performance while meeting delivery and quality KPIs for our customers in a cost-effective manner. You will need to adjust the site's priorities based on demand, economical, EHS and compliance requirements and challenges and unite the team to achieve these goals.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Ensure site is compliant with all regulatory, corporate, and site EHS requirements
- Hold team accountable for adhering to all applicable EHS regulations, standards, and procedures
- Maintain site compliance with RC14001 and ISO9001 standards
- Manage team to meet commitments of monthly, quarterly, and annual Sales, Inventory, and Operating Plan (SIOP)
- Continuously seek ways to improve process efficiencies in plant yields, OEE, energy consumption, and process control
- Ensure equipment availability and reliability by leading and improving maintenance excellence processes
- Manage manufacturing site operation within approved financial guidelines
- Lead Lean Manufacturing systems through the implementation of a site management operating system
- Support capital engineering in the design of new products/plants/processes and modifications to existing assets
- Support execution of approved capital projects on time and on budget
- Develop, adapt, and validate a vision for the site's enhanced value generation within the corporate strategies
- Participate in safety audits/inspections, event investigations, PHA/HAZOP studies, project management teams, project briefings, etc.
Creating Extraordinary Starts With:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar discipline
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing facility
- Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience
- Union experience preferred
- Prior experience utilizing and implementing Lean manufacturing principles
