- Graduation from accredited nursing and or APP program
- California nursing or APP license required
- Minimum five years oncology nursing experience required either as APP or RN
- Computer and typing experience/skills

Salary Transparency:

Base Salary Range: between $153,000 – $205,000 annually
Job Description:
Under the direction of the Executive Director and Managing Partner, the Director of Clinical Operations assesses, triages, provides education, administers treatments and support services for PCC patients, and supervises the clinical staff including nurses, medical assistants, lab, and pharmacy personnel.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Oncology medical terminology
- Medical office practices
- Computer skills
- Telephone skills
- Customer service practices
- Education theory and practices
- Psychosocial support and symptom management
ABILITY TO:
- Give injections and start IVs
- Make mathematical dosage calculations
- Administer medications safely, timely, according to order
- Accurately document assessments and interventions on a computer
- Perform thorough patient assessments
- Interpret laboratory results
- Triage phone calls according to acuity giving sound nursing advice or communicating physician response to issue
- Provide symptom/side effect management using sound nursing judgment and theory
- Multitask: ability to handle, use and respond to patients, phones, staff/MDs, and computers simultaneously
- Speak and educate clearly and concisely to be understood by patients, MDs, and staff
- Manage various levels of staff including RNs, Pharmacy Techs, Lab Techs, and MAs
- Maintain pace of practice w/ follow through in a timely manner
- Maintain confidentiality
- Work and make decisions independently w/ sound nursing judgment
- Participate in teamwork
- Take direction / interpret / follow through with medical orders from physicians
