Audit Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Audit Manager with 5-10 years of experience in audit/assurance within a public accounting firm. This position is responsible for leading staff and preparing financial statements, audits, reviews, and compilations. Ongoing career development and training are provided.

KMA is a progressive, mid-sized Certified Public Accounting firm with an office in Downtown Chicago and headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin.

Your Keys to Success Are

• Lead and mentor Audit staff
• Participate in financial statement audits, reviews, compilations
• Identify accounting, financial statement, and reporting issues based on professional guidelines (GAAP)
• Gain comprehensive understanding of client's operations, processes, and business objectives
• Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with the client to provide superior client services
• Participate in business development efforts to build relationships with client prospects
• Engage in ongoing personal development
• Demonstrate excellent team and leadership skills, positive attitude and high ethical standards

You'll Meet the Following Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA license is required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience at a public accounting firm in an audit/attest related position
• Leadership/management experience
• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and GAAS (General Accepted Auditing Standards)
• Demonstrated skills in the area of communication, relationship building, personal development, collaboration, and problem solving, along with initiative and adaptability.
• Experience with CCH Engagement is a plus
