The Senior Manager of Business Development and Investor Relations is a key player in driving HeartFlow’s growth trajectory. This role demands a unique blend of financial modeling expertise and strategic business acumen. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic partnerships and business development initiatives, while also contributing to the Investor Relations function. Your ability to build robust financial models will be essential in analyzing market opportunities, developing investment theses, and projecting the financial impact of potential partnerships, acquisitions, and other strategic decisions. This role will report to the VP of Business Development and Investor Relations with potential to upgrade to Director level based on background. Key Responsibilities:Business Development:Perform analysis and evaluation of potential business development opportunities, including partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisitions.Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify attractive market segments and potential partners.Develop sophisticated financial models to assess the potential financial impact of business development initiatives, including detailed valuation models, pro forma financial statements, and sensitivity analyses.Create compelling investment theses and presentations to communicate the strategic rationale and financial benefits of potential deals.Support the negotiation and execution of partnership agreements and other transactions.Investor Relations:Support the Investor Relations function by creating succinct analysis and messaging for investors.Manage Wall Street expectations through analyst consensus comparison to internal projections, creating scenario analysis for revenue, gross margin, and expenses.Evaluate covering analyst models versus internal projections.Assist in preparing investor communications materials. Participate in investor and analyst meetingsWork with leadership on capital raising efforts as needed Additional Responsibilities:Work in conjunction with the commercial organization to conduct scenario analysis for pricing and business models.Monitor pricing trends and provide recommendations to optimize pricing and profitability.Create financial models, PowerPoint presentations, and data visualizations.Skills Needed:Exceptional Financial Modeling: Demonstrated expertise in building complex financial models from scratch, including discounted cash flow (DCF), merger & acquisition (M&A), and sensitivity analysis models. A strong command of Excel is essential.Business Acumen: Solid understanding of business strategy, finance, and accounting principles.Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, draw insights, and make data-driven recommendations.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to various audiences.Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions to business challenges.Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Drive and Initiative: Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic and a proactive approach.Educational Requirements & Work Experience:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, a related field, or equivalent directly related experience.Must have at least 5+ years of experience in a combination of investment banking, consulting or corporate development roles including at least 3 years extensive modeling experience. Medical Device, BioPharma, or other Healthcare Technology client experience is preferred.MBA is a plus; CFA is a plus.A reasonable estimate of the base salary compensation range is $150,000 - $215,000, cash bonus, and stock options.HeartFlow, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
