Main Responsibilities: The Early Pipeline Gastroenterology Associate Medical Director reports to the Global Medical Head of Immunology and works under the direction of the Global Respiratory and Gastroenterology Global Medical Lead This role will closely collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop, and execute asset medical plans, support lifecycle management activities, and integrate evidence-generation planning. This role also drives stakeholder engagement and data generation, ensuring excellence in medical launch readiness. The role will bring in-depth knowledge of clinical studies, ensuring that medical plans and strategies are underpinned by robust scientific evidence and tailored to meet the needs of patients. Key Responsibilities include: Significant immunology and gastroenterology experience required. Support the Global Medical Lead in the development and execution of an integrated gastroenterology portfolio medical strategy. Support the expanded utilization and enhancement of Immunolab, including leading cross-functional training. Participate in the Immunology Pipeline integrated evidence generation strategy definition, planning, and execution worldwide. Interface with key internal and external stakeholders across multiple teams to help foster the development and understanding of the evolving treatment landscapes of gastroenterology pipeline assets in development. Support the medical lead in collaboration with cross-functional partners on medical strategy to ensure comprehensive thorough scientific and clinical evaluation of new therapies in immunology. Support the cross-functional teams for the development of medical education, and emerging leaders’ program. Implement a strong partnership with local cross-functional team, global & regional medical for appropriate communications strategy and KOL development. Build professional working relationships with Global, Region and key markets, facilitate best practice sharing between global and countries. Lead evidence generation efforts including design and conduct of real-world evidence studies including observational, prospective, and claims database studies, and knowledge of study analyses plans. Support in the design and execution of observational, phase 3b and phase IV clinical studies, including informing clinical development plans and study designs to ensure differentiating and relevant outcomes are included addressing current and future needs. Work effectively within the established corporate and industry compliance guidelines Represent medical teams at advisory boards, outreach meetings at key institutions, and in interactions with KOLs. Support the Medical Lead in expanding the adoption of Immunolab, a state-of-the art data and analytics platform in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. About you Education: Advanced degree in a scientific discipline (M.D., PhD or PharmD) Experience: Significant immunology, and gastroenterology experience required Experience in pipeline, clinical development and/or medical affairs on a global or regional level including design of clinical and observational studies required. 5+ years of experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry or equivalent Immunology related experience Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment. Experience working collaboratively and cross-functionally with medical, global brand teams, market research, sales, managed markets, sales operations, business development, regulatory, research & development, manufacturing, finance and legal and to effectively collaborate with regional and/or affiliate medical to ensure regional activities are executed in alignment with global medical strategy and ensuring the insights and needs from them are known and properly addressed.
