You will be responsible for developing test plans and implementing those plans against the corresponding test procedures. You will also be accountable for the development, release, and maintenance of test procedures.You will be a part of ETE team - The Enterprise Test Engineering ("ETE") family is responsible for ensuring that all applications and systems meet defined quality standards. The ETE family encompasses three major areas including (a) functional testing, (b) non-functional testing, and (c) test architecture and enablement. Other key focuses include regression testing, browser testing, performance testing, capacity and stress testing, resiliency testing, environment management services, and infrastructure testing. Develops, conducts, and evaluates testing processes, working closely with developers to remediate identified system defects. In-depth knowledge of automated testing tools, and quality control and assurance approaches including the creation of reusable foundational test automation framework for the entire organization.Your Primary Responsibilities:Prepare, maintain, and execute test cases based on user stories; present results and track defects to closurePrepare, maintain, and execute automated test scriptsMaintain traceability from business requirements through test cases to automated scriptsReview test cases / automation approach with stakeholder to ensure comprehensive coverage and acquire feedbackTrack test execution breakthroughs, report on issues and risks with the potential to affect project timelinesConstruct appropriate end-2-end business scenarios through the application of a broad understanding of business objectives and goalsCollaborate with delivery pipeline teams to drive adoption and resolve open issues.Identify dependencies for environmental and data requirements; manage and maintain environment and data.Provide mentorship to colleagues related to test coverage and test casesDevelop a detailed understanding of the product being deliveredResponsible for process compliance & associated documentationAligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to supervise and mitigate risk; calls out appropriately**Note: Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above**Qualifications:Minimum of 6 years of related experienceBachelor's degree and/or equivalent experienceTalents Needed for Success:Experienced in Agile/Waterfall, onsite/offshore work model and coordinationIn depth knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle (specifically the testing model, methodology, and processes),Experience with Test Engineering methodologies and Test Automation FrameworksExtensive experience with testing modern scripting language-based components.Experience with front-end & backend testing using Java and Selenium.Experience in writing sophisticated SQL queries.Experience with JIRA, Microfocus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and JenkinsExperience with test data management is a plusDetailed understanding of smoke testing, black-box, and non-black box testing, as well as regression testingExperience in estimating, prioritizing, and planning testing activitiesRequires the ability to work well with both business clients and technical team and the ability to work independently, both individually and as part of a team.If and when a position becomes available, the salary range will be included on the job advert. The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
