In this role, you will drive the product’s growth across all platforms—web, mobile, desktop, and third-party surfaces—ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for our rapidly expanding user base.You will be a key player in shaping the future of ChatGPT, owning how millions of people interact with AI daily. This role is perfect for someone who is deeply passionate about product design, has a strong user-centric approach, and possesses the technical expertise to collaborate closely with engineering and research teams.This position is based in San Francisco, CA. We utilize a hybrid work model with 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.In this role, you will:• Vision & Strategy: Spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge AI research by crafting the vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution plan.• Product Development: Convert user feedback into detailed product requirements, narratives, and technical specifications.• Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data to deeply understand user needs and guide future product development.• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with research, product design, and engineering teams to bring new capabilities to life.You might thrive in this role if you:• Have 6+ years of product management or related industry experience.• Have experience being a hands-on individual contributor while simultaneously managing a high-performing team.• Obtained a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field.• Have proven experience working in a technical environment with cross-functional teams to drive product vision, define requirements, and guide the team through key milestones.• Are passionate about design and figuring out best-in-class solutions to UX, UI, and interaction challenges.• Showcase strong leadership, organizational, and execution skills, along with proven communication abilitiesAbout OpenAIOpenAI is an AI research and deployment company dedicated to ensuring that general-purpose artificial intelligence benefits all of humanity.
