WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
The Plant Coordinator will be responsible for performing functions/tasks associated with shipping, receiving, tracking, and payment of goods, raw materials and services within the Ennis, Texas facility. The incumbent will also perform a multitude of Human Resources tasks, including payroll, employee communication, benefits administration, LiveWell activities, special projects and other general administrative programs as instructed by the plant Sr. Human Resources Coordinator. The incumbent will be responsible for providing administrative services of a highly responsible and confidential nature. Diplomacy in personal, telephone, and written contacts with all levels of personnel is necessary. This position reports to the Plant Manager and is a member of the site Leadership Team. Demonstrates core skills, which includes understanding of the company safety policies, adherence of the principle of Conduct and Action Guidelines. The Plant Coordinator interacts very closely with all employees in the plant, in addition to customers, vendors and suppliers. The incumbent works in an environment that is highly interactive and requires excellent communication skills. High levels of administrative skills are required. The incumbent may be required to serve on committees, perhaps to assist a business team and or Plant Task Team(s). This position demands excellent people skills, tact and judgment. Must have a positive working attitude toward other employees; be a team player. Must be able to handle confidential information and not be personally offended by what is observed or known. A general understanding of business concepts and operations, employee performance and morale and an understanding of relevant employee legislation is required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Sr. Human Resources Coordinator with various HR administrative functions and plant activities.
- Perform processing of the hourly weekly payroll using the Timekeeper System, verification of punch detail, attendance tracking and schedule verifications, including the interfacing of hours to be processed into the payroll system.
- Actively support the People Development Pillar by assisting in organizing plant activities for community involvement, work life balance, training/development opportunities and other initiatives for all plant employees.
- Assist site Sr. HR Coordinator in updating hourly employees Skills Matrix.
- Facilitate communication meetings in small group or one-on-one situations to all levels of employees at the plant.
- Maintain hourly employees Attendance tracking, Coaching for Commitment, Well Day program spreadsheets
- Coordinate and administer various plant programs such as office supplies, safety wear, SGC Community Plant Gifts.
- Work with Regional Controller and Logistics dept. to complete bi-monthly and monthly cycle counts of raw materials.
- Work with the Regional Purchasing, AP and vendors to maintain GRIR & IOL audit & resolution of outstanding issues.
- Daily receiving and verification of all raw materials and other plant materials packing slips in the SAP system.
- Daily auditing of the truck log in comparison with the raw material receipts.
- Weekly auditing of stock transfer orders to ensure they have been received in SAP.
- Maintains tracking methods for production, shipments and customer orders as well as maintaining raw material and vendor files.
- Meet EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) and 52 weeks of safety training requirements.
- Provides plant support to all the Ennis Leadership Team.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
- Assist with any additional tasks & projects as assigned.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
- Minimum associates degree in finance or business.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in the Receiving/AP field (manufacturing environment preferred), as well as exposure in a manufacturing environment.
- Must demonstrate core competencies of engagement in safe work behaviors, effective communications, listening, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, to all levels of the organization.
- Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance. Must be able to effectively use Microsoft Office including Excel/Word/PowerPoint, (SAP preferred).
- Ability to build and work with teams.
