Epilepsy – Clinical Faculty

Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution, and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of Epilepsy physician to join its Rush Epilepsy Center. The Epilepsy Center has a multidisciplinary team that includes epileptologists, neuropsychologists, physiologists, pediatric and adult neurosurgeons, clinical nurse specialists and social workers. The program offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services and provides patients with a full range of medical and surgical treatment options, including investigative therapies and approaches that are not widely available. Patients who require inpatient treatment receive care on a specialized neurological unit with staff specifically trained in neurosurgical and neurological care.
Qualified candidates must be graduates from an ACGME-accredited Neurology residency and have completed fellowship training in Epilepsy and/or Clinical Neurophysiology. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Neurology. Additional certification by the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology is desirable. Qualified candidates will be eligible for faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level or higher. Teaching epilepsy fellows, neurology residents and medical students and participating in house staff education is also an expectation.
