A medical services organization in California is looking to add a licensed professional to join their team as a Substance Use Disorder Clinician to their growing team at one of their facilities in Los Angeles. About the Opportunity: Schedule: Monday toFriday Hours: 8am to 5pm (1-hour unpaid lunch) Setting: Outpatient Responsibilities: TheSubstance Use Disorder Clinician will: Conduct psycho-social assessments of clients Make referrals and conduct follow up on clients needing additional mental health services Provide crisis intervention services for clients in need of counsel and support Provide individual and group counseling and appropriate documentation Perform mental status examinations, therapy and preventive health measures Record physical finding, and formulate a plan and prognosis, based on the patients condition Discuss cases with Physician and other health professionals to prepare a comprehensive patient care plan Administer or recommend individual therapy or other forms of treatment Supervise counselors, case managers, and graduate level interns Assist the Clinical Supervisor and Director of Behavioral and Social Services in completing reports and reapplication requirements based on funder guidelines Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in a Community-based organization, including 3 years of experience implementing and advancing Substance Abuse Treatment programs in a Supervisorial role Bachelor's Degree Licensed Therapist (MFT, LCSW, PsyD) or licensed Therapist Familiar with state and local alcohol / drug mental health issues and regulations, particularly the Drug Medical program Solid problem solving and time management skills Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized Desired Skills: Master's Degree in Mental / Public Health, Social Services / Work, and/or Public Administration Bilingual (English and Spanish) Previous experience in an Outpatient setting
