SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Weatherby's Stock Assemblers are responsible for different levels of assembly depending on their assignment within the Weatherby factory. These assignments vary in terms of difficulty and complexity. Basic assembly does not require much previous assembly knowledge, although experience is always beneficial. Higher levels of assembly require finishing raw parts, initial assembly, and fitting of parts, as well as final assembly of finished product. Each assembler will be trained to inspect and ensure the finished product meets all specifications. Team members are asked to look at the processes with fresh eyes each day, looking for ways to improve quality and efficiency. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- From simple assembly to more complex including the finishing of carbon and composites, to include molding, sanding, and pre-finishing.
- Operate pneumatic equipment and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment efficiently and safely.
- Assemble components to specifications.
- Perform final inspection for finished product.
- Load, operate and adjust manufacturing equipment such as sanding, cleaning, and coating in accordance with manufacturing procedures.
- Monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are necessary; stop machines when problems occur.
- Fill out the daily production log of work activity and operation performance.
- Installation of 3DHex Recoil Pad
- Use hand tools to set up and adjust equipment.
- Perform routine inspection of parts to ensure that surface finishes and dimensions meet specifications.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to process technician or leader.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures. Use all safety equipment on machinery as well as personal protective equipment properly.
- Learn multiple manufacturing operations to follow daily assignments.
- Follow work instructions to perform operations in an effective way.
- Work well with others in a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Employee must perform the above within acceptable quality, quantity, performance and safety standards.

JOB FUNCTIONS
- Attention to detail to ensure product meets Weatherby specifications
- Work with service representatives to diagnose customer problems and keep them updated on progress using a computer reporting system.
- Work with shop production planner to finish custom work and complete required work order documentation.
- Use common hand tools to include files, chisels, hones, stock scrapers, and taps.
- Use machine tools to include drill press, mill, and sanders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful assemblers are able to perform all of the essential skills and abilities listed below as well as meet the knowledge requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Manufacturing experience is a plus.

- Meet objective goals assigned by the Stock Manufacturing Lead during performance coaching.

The employee will be subject to prolonged standing. All team member will be able to manipulate and assemble small parts.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Weight requirement: The employee must frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds, and push/pull up to 100 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee is not exposed to weather conditions due to our large indoor facility. While performing the duties of this job, this position will be exposed to the manufacturing/factory environment and be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in this work environment can be loud.
