Overview

Brief Description: Fabrication, welding and assembly of mill components. Non-routine hours, including nights, weekends and emergency call-ins, may occur.

Responsibilities

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Fabrication and welding using MIG, TIG, brazing, stick welding, carbon arc, etc.
• Project installation and emergency repair anywhere on site
• Assistance in non-fabrication type repairs and site projects

Qualifications

Experience/Requirements:

Required:

• A strong safety record
• Self-starter with good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
• Print reading and layout procedures
• Knowledge of AWS specifications
• Proficient in fabricating and welding of multiple materials
• Must be able to properly use a cutting torch and proper use of various fabrication tools such as band saws, punch presses, mag drills, cutting tables and shears.

Preferred:

• Prior fabrication and/or machining experience.
• Operation experience and certification with forklifts, overhead cranes, jib cranes and rigging.
