Full-time Salary Position starting at $50k DOE plus benefits. Located in Albuquerque, NM. Working out of our Hotel Chaco.
The Catering Manager will report to the Associate Director of Catering. The Catering Manager will be responsible for responding to catering leads, providing site tours, and contracting clients. The Catering Manager will be asked to detail events and service on property as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Possesses excellent teamwork and communication skills, as both are necessary to maintain a well-orchestrated operation that resonates with guests.
- Responds to new inquiries with in 24 hours.
- Conducts property site tours with historical knowledge of location and significance of the building.
- Provides pricing quotes and proposals for prospective clients.
- Executes contracts for new pieces of catering business.
- Works closely with guests and tailor each event to the specific needs.
- Designs menus with the appropriate food & wine pairing and customizes each event to client's specifications.
- Attends weekly meetings client/internal.
- Ensures food service quality and function standards.
- Oversee the coordination of the Delphi Function Diary.
- Provides professional open communication with all team members and clients.
- Understands current market trends.
- Desires to serve guests and provide an outstanding product with exceptional service.
- Possesses superior customer service and employee-relation skills.
- Performs any other related duties as requested by the Director and Associate Director of Catering .

- Knowledge of four-diamond / four-star customer service standards (helpful).
- 2+ years of sales and marketing leadership in similar sized operation preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Opera, Salesforce/Delphi, Envision.
- Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills capabilities required.
- Extensive knowledge of sales skills, revenue management, catering / banquets.
- Ability to effectively listen, communicate and perform diplomacy with internal and external customers and staff in all situations.
- Bachelors degree preferred, high school diploma required.
- High level attention to detail and ability to multitask required.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours in a high paced environment.
Salary Description
$50k Annually
