Infectious Disease Physician in Albany

The Department of Medicine at Albany Medical College is seeking an Infectious Disease physician with an interest in academic medicine to join their team. The successful candidate will be board certified or board eligible in infectious disease and will be given an academic appointment that will be commensurate with experience.
This is a full-time role in adult infectious disease working inpatient consultation with one half clinic day per week.
Additional position details:
- Interest/experience in hospital epidemiology is helpful
- Experience in treatment of both surgical and complex medical patients.
- Direct involvement with Albany Meds Antibiotic Stewardship Program
- Collaboration with local affiliated community hospital via telemedicine
- Weekend call anticipated as 1:5

Albany Medical Center offers competitive salaries commensurate with the level of academic appointment. Base salary range at assistant professor level is $225,000-$250,000 with robust incentive opportunities. Base salary range will be higher with appointment at the associate professor or professor level. You will be provided with a rich benefits package including paid time off, paid holidays, CME reimbursement, medical benefits, malpractice coverage, retirement plan and loan repayment eligibility.
