Ordnance Facilities Electrical Engineer
The Opportunity:
As an Ordnance Facilities Electrical Inspector, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to providing research and technical support to senior-level DoD representatives responsible for ordnance electrical safety of naval weapons and ordnance facilities and platforms in Lightning Protection, Facility Grounding and Bonding, Equipment Grounding and Bonding, Electrical Service, Ordnance and Energetic Grounding and Bonding, Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance (HERO), and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD). We're looking for a facilities inspector who can use their skills to identify, develop, and implement recommendations and solutions to problems, risks, and potential outcomes regarding prevention of unintended electrical power to the ordnance resulting in inadvertent initiation or detonation, and Ordnance Electrical Safety. You'll leverage your expertise in NAVSEA ashore and afloat requirements to ensure the electrical safety of ordnance and energetics operations in Navy facilities as they pertain to Lightning Protection, Ordnance Electrical Safety interactions, and electromagnetic and static influences.
At Booz Allen, you'll use your skills to provide technical direction on Lightning, Grounding, and Bonding (LG&B) and ordnance electrical safety involving naval weapons and ordnance. You will establish and implement ordnance electrical safety criteria and standards. That's why we need a facilities inspector like you to provide direction, guidance, or recommendations during the technical input preparation of various technical documents such as Ordnance Pamphlets (OPs), Military Standards (MIL STDs), NATO Standardization Agreements (STANAGs), Allied Publications such as AOPs, AASTPs, and AECTPs, and commercial standards and specifications.
